The course will have a dual focus. First, we will read representative theoretical texts describing the culture industry, knowledge/information/
attention economy, and new media. Then, we will rely on our own observations and experience to survey the recent and emerging careers in the media economy––in order to envision the kinds of careers that might be available to us in the coming years.
